Within the scope of the present study, approaches and obstacles for efficient and long-term sustainable software development in robotics were investigated. Methodologically, the <em>State of the art<\/em> of software and system development in robotics at integrators, users, and component manufacturers and to the <em>State of the art<\/em> (or Science) of Software Engineering.
