AI Progress Center
The AI Innovation Centre "Learning Systems and Cognitive Robotics" supports companies in exploiting the economic opportunities offered by artificial intelligence and machine learning in particular. In application-oriented research projects and in direct cooperation with industrial companies, the Stuttgart-based Fraunhofer Institutes for Production Engineering and Automation IPA and for Industrial Engineering and Organization IAO are working to bring technologies from cutting-edge AI research into widespread use in the manufacturing and service industries. They are supported by the Institute of Human Factors and Technology Management IAT of the University of Stuttgart. The center receives financial support from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism.

Founding history
The AI Progress Center was founded in September 2019 and has been part of Cyber Valley together with the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft ever since.
The "Center for Cyber Cognitive Intelligence" (CCI) and the "Center for Cognitive Robotics" at Fraunhofer IPA formed the basis for the AI Progress Center and were successfully completed in 2021. The popular collaboration formats such as Quick Checks and Exploring Projects will now be continued at the AI Progress Center.
Since the AI Progress Center was founded, projects have already been successfully completed with over 300 companies.
