How is collaboration possible?

Would you like to check the feasibility of an idea or technical innovation from your company? In our Quick Checks, your innovation ideas are analyzed and approaches are developed together. These can be transformed into initial concepts and prototyped in Exploring Projects.

If you are still at the very beginning and would like to gain a better orientation, we recommend our AI Explorer. Together, we identify and prioritize use cases for AI in your company.  

Would you like to interchange ideas across industries and get to the bottom of a variety of AI issues together? The focus of an AI Innovation Seed is the close exchange of experiences, shared efforts and the joint processing of fundamental questions. Overview of the current main topics.

AI Explorer

The AI Explorer project format is a free entry opportunity for companies that want to use AI and are interested in a qualified expert opinion. This form of collaboration aims in particular at jointly identifying possible use cases and deriving individual use cases from them. In particular, the focus is on assessing the current situation and possible potential for process improvements or product and service innovations through AI applications.

Quick Check

The Quick Check project format offers companies a low-threshold opportunity for collaboration that can, but does not have to, build on the AI Explorer. Primarily, feasibility studies are carried out here and the extent to which the project idea can be implemented is examined. In addition, Quick Checks aim to analyze and check use cases or project ideas that already exist in the company. It is also possible to submit the application for a feasibility check together with a supplier or partner if there is a similar interest. Ideas for possible topic ideas can be found, for example, on the individual center sites.

Exploring Project

If the previously reviewed Quick Check is evaluated favourably, further collaboration and participation is possible via the Exploring Project format. After successful completion of the first phase, the innovative idea can be continued. Within about three months, the project idea is implemented in an initial concept and, if necessary, in a prototype. 

AI Innovation Seed

The AI Innovation Seed format focuses on the consideration and development of innovative cross-company solutions in the field of AI. The participating companies benefit from the expertise of the Fraunhofer institutes as well as from synergies and the exchange of expertise within the consortium.
